AR group buy update

talked to joe today, he said hes going to talk to the vendors and see what the status is. he has been real busy at work and been traveling, he said sorry on not returning calls and emails. he asked me to post on here to let everyone know why hes been slow on the replies.

for those that asked for refunds here in the last week, they should go out next week. he has to wait for the credits to be applied before he can send them out. joe has been refunding on complete rifles and mags. if you guys read the posts below you will see joe offered to refund if you want out. take him up on that offer if you dont want to wait.

for those that emailed in the last couple weeks wanting to pick up the extra lowers, lpks, rifles, etc. joe said he has to wait for its all over then he can see whats there and sell it.

i know everyone wants closure on this and wants to move. thanks for those who hung in there.

11/04 update

Guys were still waiting. I was up at Joes over the weekend. Nothing came in yet. For those that asked after this is over with. Joe will have a list of extra parts, lowers, or rifles, mags, etc.... just wanted to put up a update. i still dont have the net, so updates are slow. AR group buy update

Ok first and foremost....

I owe everyone a huge apology for not getting on the forum and keeping everyone updated. I can offer many reasons, but they are mute as of now. I appreciate everyone's patience and understand the frustrations. I know that my name and reputation is faltering on this board and that is NOT what I wanted to do. This thing got WAY beyond what it was suppose to be, but that's neither here nor there. I haven't committed to any dates because I have been told one thing by vendors and then the timelines haven't held for me. I don't want to tell folks that your order will be filled by such and such a date only to have to change it. To me that's not right.

I breezed through some of the posts and I want to verify some of the statements. These are custom rifles. Some more so than others (custom GunKote, customer request. etc.). I believe it was stated earlier that these are NOT complete Superior Arms rifles. I use Superiors lowers and the rest of the parts are from various vendors (which is the major hold up). These rifles do not have a manufactures lifetime warranty, but I do stand behind my work 110%. That is not something in writing but I won't crap on ANY of my customers. Ever.

I have had issues with my email (again another 'excuse') and I am in process of setting up another account just for this group buy. For now PLEASE use the following:

I have issued refunds to folks that have requested them. I hate to lose the business, but again, I'm not gonna crap on a customer. Period. I am 'hounding' my vendors to get everything squared away. There have been 'issues' that I believe have all been straightened out and in all honesty the parts will be coming in very soon (starting next week). Again, I don't want to promise any dates, but this damn thing is coming to a head.

I know that I have missed phone calls and emails. Again, I have reasons but I'm not going to sit here and make all kinds of excuses. If you have called and got no response, PLEASE call again and if I don't answer leave me a message. I have been having a difficult time for the last 2 weeks with keeping things together. I had surgery on my shoulder again and I'm still not running with full mental capacity (due in part to medications).

I do want to thank Chris for running interference on this for me. I will personally take the fault on this. I haven't been on here for a long time. I have had a major job function change and I don't have the free time to get on. Again, that's an excuse, but it is the truth. As far as messages on my cell phone, the new phone I have drops them before I get a chance to check them all. The ones I get I return and if I have missed yours I am sorry.

I know this has taken about 8 months more than what I had hoped and all I can do is offer my condolences and offer to make things right for everyone involved. If anyone feels that I am wronging them or you are just tired of waiting, let me know and I will do whatever I need to do to make it right for you.

I also want to thank everyone who has held in there. You won't be disappointed with your final product.

AR mags and Rifles

Guys were still waiting, sorry for the inconvenience.

Joe said hes going to contact the mag company and the rifle manufacture to get us a update. Soon as he does and gets me the info i will post it on the websites and on here.

Hang in there, they will be worth the wait. Joe is the best gunsmith i know, he can build a mean shooting AR-15. You wont be disappointed!!

The wait so far has been long i understand, but nearly as long as the 10/12 month wait on some bullet molds. and you got to remember everyone and there brother ran out and bought a AR in the last 5 months. the market couldnt keep up, its getting better from what i hear.

So lets hang in there and let Joe make some calls and the goods will go out soon as they come in and Custom Concepts work their magic on them.

Thanks for understanding and Thanks to Joe for offering the AR-15's at a really "good" price. No one else would sell the AR's at this price. Joe stepped up to the plate to offered incredible savings in a time when people were gouging. Again thanks to Joe and Custom Concepts.

MRC USPSA 5/17

well joe and i (chris d) had a real fun time at the uspsa match. we shot it with the wheel guns and the 1911's. it was a blast getting back into the groove with a 1911. joe rocked it pretty darn good with his carry sights on his smith .38 spl. i think id still be there trying to hit the texas star with it. it really felt good shooting fast with joes 1911. i was starting to get bored with my wheel gun. 6 shots reload and none of the stages but 1 was wheel gun friendly. glad rod and joe talked me into reshooting using joes 1911. hopefully we will finish in the top 3 in our classes. if not owell it just felt good, heckling each other and having a "blast" relieving some stress. ill post the results when i get them.

Milan Rifle Club this sunday

Mag, LPK, Upper Update

still waiting, the mag people are not on the ball thats for sure. nothing we can do besides wait.

trust me joe and i are just as upset and mad the date wasnt as "they" promised. the order is in and we are in line. i dont want to call and bug them and keep hounding them for a date and piss them off and put us at the bottom.

soon as i hear from joe that he has them, i will post up. but joe will post soon as they come in.

the LPK's, the mags, the uppers, all should have been in by now. i cant make excuses and dont want to feed everyone with false info. so im being honest when i say i dont know when they will be here. we are waiting just as you, along with the first part of the GB on another site and all of our local sales.

lets just hope everything comes in soon, and most important everything comes in right. sorry the current president made everyone run out and buy everything gun and ar-15 related. this GB should have been long done. if joe gets a update from any of the manufactures we will post up. sorry for the wait, as joe said if you cant wait or want out let joe know and he will refund your money and we will sell at a gunshow or local later. i hope the very good prices joe offered on the GB is worth the wait for you all. please hang in there.........

Shipping AR Lowers seperate

Yes folks I've had a few guys ask. So i decided to post it here.

Yes we can ship your stripped lower to your FFL separate from the rest of the stuff you ordered. Granted Joe has your FFL on hand it can be ready to go soon as he gets them boxed up. You will need to pay another shipping charge to cover shipping on the LPK and what ever else you ordered mags, stocks what ever.

Joe is boxing up and getting ready the stripped lower only orders now. So he could mail them out at the same time.

Joe and my contact info is on the side bar and his number is in the banner. just leave a email addy and phone number and he will get back to you soon as he can.

im saying him because he has all the paper work and lists of who's ordered what and ffls on hand. this way i don't have to relay info to him and get it right. just send him a email and put group buy "ship lower separate" in the title.

give him a day or so to call you back. hes on call, and probably running equipment in the gun shop if he don't answer. just leave a detailed message.

AR update for ALL

If you read the last 2 updates. We are waiting, and as stuff comes in we keep you guys posted. As Joe said on the website, if you cant wait or want out let us know Joe will give you a refund.

This is a waiting game, the orders are in and thats it, i cant call the vendors and be a PITA asking are we there yet on a weekly basis. NO one has complained or kept asking for updates, so your not speaking for everyone.

Joe is the owner, the group buy is thru him at Custom Concepts. A real shop with a FFL and Tax id number. If you want to talk to the owner, Joe his email and phone number are in the header. and on his web site under contact him. I'm not being a jerk. I'm just not posting every Monday tying up the blog with were still waiting.

i hope that's a good enough answer if not call Joe for a refund, we will sell your goods when they come in at a higher (going) price to someone else.

AR Group Buy Update

Here's a update on the AR's. Same as 3/9 post, We are waiting on parts. The Lowers came in, Joe is booking them in during his free time. He works a 60+ hour work week that's a hour drive. Also the shop is still going strong on the nights and weekends. There is some work that has to get done first. Once he books all the Lowers in Joe said he will box up and ship The lowers only to the members of IO and CB. 2nd once the mags and LPK's come in they will go next. Last the complete rifles will go out because they will take the longest.

Joe AT Custom Concepts has all the orders in and he is taking care of the Business end and the shipping along with gunsmithing on the custom orders. I am the sales manager for custom concepts. I did all the Group Buy posting and took the orders. Everything has been turned over to the vendors. We are like the rest of the country waiting on our AR parts. Feel free to email Joe or I at any time. We will get back to you soon as possible. Some times it make take a few days. Once more items roll in I will take the hour drive to Custom Concepts and help Joe box items up, ship them and carry out our end of the Group Buy. Please be patient no need to email us 3 and 4 times or call us 6 times in one day back to back. Joe and I will get stuff out fast as possible once all items have arrived. We have alot of customers in on this i think we had 155 lowers sold and countless complete builds and over 500 mags. Not to come across being rude but just trying give as much as info as i can. Well here's another custom paint job done by Custom Concepts owner Joe L. This was for a kid who won a voucher for a free paint job at a local Not For Profit Organization. (Donated by Joe at Custom Concepts) It's a Marlin 795 done up in a red & black tiger stripe.

AR-15 update

Guys were still waiting on parts. Joe has all the orders in process. Its up to them the suppliers to get caught up and get to our orders. We all understand the wait times with everyone ordering. Chilli Match Results 2/09

Well we got the match results. There was a nice turn out for a indoor match, 32 entries. These are the combined divisions results. Owner Joe L took 15th Single Stack, 19th Single Stack, and 32nd with Revolver. Team Captain Chris M had gun trouble and only shot it once. He finished 17th Single Stack. Chris D took 11th open, 14th Single Stack, and 22nd Single Stack.

Custom Concepts Lower Order

Well the AR-15 lowers came in. Wasn't that bad of a wait on them. We are still waiting on the LPK's, mags, and rifle parts. I will keep everyone updated as stuff comes in. We will ship out the Lowers to who ever ordered just a lower. 2nd we will ship out lowers with LPKs once they come in. Then 3rd we will ship out the complete rifles when finished. As always your welcome at the shop for local pick. (some have all ready said thats the way there doing it) Mags were seperate and you paid seperate shipping. Those will go out soon as they come in. Custom Concept's Owner Joe in Action

Well here's Custom Concepts Owner Joe, giving his new Smith 581 a run with speed loaders. Joe had his work cut out for him with them small carry type sights on the gun. He did a fine job, and had a lot of fun running it. Custom Concepts would like to thank the Chillicothe Sportsmen's Club for putting on a fine U.S.P.S.A. match.

New Color Foliage Green

This is another one of the new colors Joe has gotten in. Foliage Green is the name, looks like ammo can green or OD green to me. (it is different than OD Green, he has that too) Its painted on a 1911, that Joe has Customized. Joe has worked this one over, trigger job, paint, trigger, barrel & extractor all the goodies. Grips are Mil-Tac woodland cammo diagonal cut. This color would be perfect for 2 tone AR-15 paint jobs. If you got a AR-15 or any metal firearm that you want painted give Custom Concepts a holler.

Team Captain Chris M.

Here is a picture of Team captain Chris M. blasting away at a Fall IPSC match. This should get us all back in the mood to get outside soon as it warms up and do some shooting. Chris, Joe and I plan on hitting quite a few matches this year so check back for pictures and videos. Chris M will be going to the Texas Double Tap Championship coming up next month. We here at Custom Concepts wish him the best and hope he has a "BLAST" while down there.

Dillon XL650 Up & Running

Well got the Dillon xl650 set up. WOW all i can say is its fast. It's about 3 times as fast as my Dillon SDB was. Accurate as heck, got it set for 4.3 grains of powder and ive check it 20 times in 500 rounds and it was perfect. The powder check on it is a plus, kinda gives you a piece of mind when your cranking them out. The case feeder is a must for volume reloading. Its fast but makes match grade ammo.

I got thinking so a 12 pack later i figured i needed a round counter. I went to china-mart and got a pedometer and some solder. Long story short it works, and counts off the crimp die so it counts actual rounds loaded not press stroke.

2/22 Chillicothe IPSC Match

This up coming Sunday Team Custom Concepts, will travel to Chillicothe Sportsman Club for their Indoor IPSC match. Yeah its a long haul for a indoor match, but we need to work the bugs out of our guns before March's Classifier Match. Wish us luck and hope to see you there.

Milan Rifle Club 02/09 IPSC Match

Well it was a cold match, got up to almost 30* today. Joe and I shot the match very well. Joe used a new to him S&W 581 with speed loaders and I shot the Custom Concepts 625JM, in Open class with a C-More dot sight. Joes took 1st in Revolver class and 26th out of 29 overall. I took 3rd open class 20th out of 29 over all. Not to shabby using wheel guns beating up on the Limited, Open, and Single Stack class. All in all it was alot of fun. Joe and I had our work cut out for us running the wheelies in a single stack and limited friendly match today.

AR Update 2/14

Well folks as we know things are still on back order. The mags, lowers, and our rifle parts all are back ordered. Soon as they come in we will keep ya posted with progress and pics. Milan IPSC Results 1/25

In Single Stack there were 16 entries including the reshoots. Team Captain Chris M took 1st with the reshoot and 2nd with the first entry. Joe L owner of Custom Concepts finished 7th with the first entry and 12th with the reshoot. Chris D took 5th in single stack and 5th and 6th in Open class (6 entries in Open class) I think shooting a 6 shot wheel gun in a class where 20+ round mags dominate you can count on me at the bottom every match..... LOL

Overall Combined divisions Team Custom Concepts finished, Chris M 3rd & 4th, Chris D 9th, 13th & 14th, and Joe L 17th & 27th. There were 36 entries overall. Team Custom Concepts wants to thank Milan Rifle Club for putting on a good match. -chris

AR-15 Mag Buy Below Ended Today

Well folks thanks for taking time to join our mag buy. I will get the orders in to Joe this weekend. The Lowers were supposed to get ordered this week, the buy ended last friday. Waiting to hear status on that froom Joe. Again thanks and keep us in mind on anything Firearm related. -chris

CastBoolit AR Lower GB Wrapping Up

Well gents round 2 of Custom Concepts AR-15 Lower Group Buy is wrapping up this Friday. Everyone who said there in is on the sheet. Now I'm waiting for the payment, Money Order or Certified Bank Check to arrive. I must have payment by Friday. I'm amending our order on Monday morning, so if it comes in the mail Monday or Tuesday I'm going to mail it back to you, because by then the order will have been placed. I ran the who's in for a week, now you have till this Friday to get us the funds and we'll get ya the goods.

Remember the copy of your FFL can be mailed in at a later date. We will have a couple months before they come in. so take your time on the FFL, just remember we cant ship out your Lowers until we have their FFL and their info.
